Mid-Michigan School of Dental Technology (MMSDT), a licensed trade school with the State of Michigan, is for students interested in becoming dental technicians. The founders of MMSDT, David H. Turpin, CDT and his wife Pamela, understand that there is a great demand for individuals skilled in the dental technology trade. Currently, there is a very low supply of skilled dental technicians (especially in Michigan).
Our Mission...
- To provide a positive team oriented learning environment.
- To offer instruction in all trade knowledge and hands-on skills needed to acquire a job position in a dental laboratory and to pass the Certified Dental Technician (CDT) Exam.
- To put a maximum emphasis on the job skills needed to be an effective employee in the Dental Technology field including; productivity, efficiency and the team concept.

Two Programs Offered...
The "Fixed Dental Prosthetic Production" program consists of eight courses which include 384 hours of instruction plus lab hours (36+). The "Removable Dental Prosthetic Production" program consists of four courses which include 192 hours of instruction plus lab hours (12+). Students will be exposed to all information needed to take the National Board of Certification Exam which can be taken after completion of the program and 3 years hands-on experience. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of each program.
Additional classes can be offered for those students who wish to specialize in a particular aspect of the field.

The Laboratory is located on the corner of Elm St.and
S. Washington Ave, just south of Main St.
Spartan Dental Laboratory is a full service lab that has all necessary equipment needed to effectively learn all skills used by dental technicians.
